Create a black-and-white promotional poster using the typography style/techniques of a chosen art movement. I chose to base my poster style off the Bauhaus Movement. I chose to use the typeface, Bauhaus 93, for both the name of the band and the sub-heading. Then I chose the typeface, Powerweld, for the heading. Though these two typefaces are very similar in style, they offer just enough difference to create contrast but still a good transition between the devices. I also liked that the Powerweld typeface had such a large x-height and wide set width. Combine that with the heavy stroke weight and it really grabs your attention. For the body text, I chose a typeface called Ormont (light). It follows the same rounded text style, but is lighter and easier to read at the smaller point size. Then I returned to the Bauhaus 93 for the ticket information section. The balanced layout, harmonious geometric shapes and letter forms follow the Bauhaus style. The connected letter forms complement the angled design layout, and give direction to the flow of information being presented.
